CSO Weekend: "The Great" Weekend
March 14-16, 2008
Schubert's aptly named "Great" Symphony tops a weekend of extraordinary music, beginning with Arvo Pärt's tribute to the great British composer Benjamin Britten. Britten's Violin Concerto is a powerfully expressive call for peace, to be played by the brilliant young violinist Janine Jansen. Come say bon voyage to Paavo and the CSO as they prepare to take this program on tour to Europe.
